3. The plan should be "build a platform so easy to develop that other companies will want to create compelling content there instead of building their own". If it's just Meta created content, it'll not happen. The "VR platform" might.

4. Facebook wasn't the monopoly as the other tech giants is the lesson, if we don't want Meta to monopolize the future of the Internet (ie. Metaverse) , we need also to look at the App Store, Amazon Marketplace, Google Adwords, and Windows too.

5. There’s only one huge problem, considering Meta as the metaverse is not correct. Currently the metaverse is made by lots of agnostic architecture based platform, either centralized or decentralized. The user therefore can experience them in XR or via web etc.. think of spatial, decentraland, roblox, sandbox etc.. the metevaverse is also industrial with NVIDIA Omniverse. So no, Meta won’t own the next gen of internet, there will be regulation and monopoly won’t be allowed. In this whole picture one big player is missing, Apple, which is going to hit the market in the upcoming years

6. The quest is a cool gimmick but it’s going to fail. After everyone saw what happened with the internet “bringing us together” we aren’t making the mistake again of existing in the metaverse.

7. Back in 2020 when Covid became a thing, I immediately realize that "the world need a technology to connect emotion when working remotely, stop asking their employee back to office".
   I think that is the only place I would consider VR as a thing. Because it is the only tech we got right now that possible to connect emotion.
   But … that is all i need, and seems like Microsoft is going in a much better direction right now, and I think only Microsoft have the power to make this happen because of their ecosystem.
   I don't care about metaverse just because I'm sick of 3d stuffs, hollow stuffs, fake ass stuffs.
   All I want is to have time with my kid, my wife, my relationship, have picnic, travel to an island …
   Is that much better than the grass you can't touch, the water you can't drink, the hand you can't shake and the love one you can't hug?
   We might living in a simulation, I just don't want to go deeper.

10. The moment my job requires a metaverse approved headset to attend a bs meeting, instead of the teams meetings we currently do with chat, voice chat, and required video, I'm out. I don't want my job to have a 3D face scan of me to analyze my now 3D timelined smirk over my hours of interaction, and determine that I in fact really do think the leadership here is garbage at the company and they fire me based on that.

11. What I like most is that billionaires care a great deal about what you say. They actually try to court you, but you still say what you feel, whatever that is. I only wonder if Zuck, and the rest of them, watch your vids themselves or have their people watch and report back, lmao

12. Coding on the couch (or anywhere) with a better monitor setup than I currently have in my office would be dope. All I need is a Bluetooth keyboard, and hopefully I can use my hands as a mouse. Or just use keyboard shortcuts for controlling stuff.
