Just got these on a great deal ($211, cheapest they've ever been in my country), and I'm so excited to upgrade my headphones after wanting these for years. I heard the XM5 got some issues and there's some things I like more with the XM4 anyway, and of course the XM4 is much cheaper.
Noise canceling of this Headphones are not good at all, when the music off I can hear everything hear everything my colleagues are talking about!

So are the hardware they are built with any good or is it just firmware tricks and driver updates to make them sound better than what there was, they should sound and function flawlessly out of the box without software needed. the Amp or AV sources make the sound input changes not updates. that's a new one to me, updates for headphone's, what if ppl don't have means to update, 350 spent for lack lustre quality and returned fast, £350 for Sony's , i want Bose for that money or studio open backed, So sorry for ranting good vid all same, informative as usual, just not feeling them sony's
