100X zoom is still ridiculous
Okay, so I Don't know who needs to know this, but taking photos of the moon on the Samsung Galaxy s23 Ultra is kind of actually ridiculous. So that's that folded Periscope Zoom at work. That's going to get you that hundred times combined optical plus digital Zoom to see yeah, the details on the moon and it's not one of those overlaid, fake things that Huawei has been accused of in their phones in the past. Word on the street is iPhone is possibly going to be adding one of those folded Periscope lenses in the next two to three years of the iPhone, But until then, this is what taking a photo of the Moon on the iPhone 14 pro looks like.

This is not true. U Just have to adjust the Kamera settings in iPhone, works well in 20x
What I find ridiculous is continuing to want to photograph the moon with a smartphone.
Don't know why people want to shoot pic of the moon…
I mean you can just download a good pic of the moon since it'll be the same anyway
Even the 22 ultra can take insanely good moon shots so idk why the 23 ultra commercial doesn't show it nearly as nicely as I can take from inside through a window
My S21 could see this, you do not need the S23 to take shots of the moon like that. The S21 vs S21 ultra there was more optical zoom on the ultra that improves clarity but still not much has improved since then.

Yeah but that’s the moon it’s cool and all but that phone can’t take the same super high quality pictures of the sunset or a landscape like my iPhone 14 pro max can.
Im pretty sure that if the moon was being attacked and you took a picture with the so called “phones that can take picture of the moon” it would look just perfect, like nothing was happening

There's an infinite number of situations where good and powerfull zoom capability is important and useful. Just gonna give you one: some time ago i was sit in an airport, waiting for my flight and my girlfriend was sleeping on my shoulder. I wanted to check on my flight status on the screens but those were far way. Got it? Don't know why the marketing departments of Samsung and Xiaomi don't make ads about it! Why do people always think that zoom is to take pics or videos? No. Use it as if it was binoculars. Only Apple is terribly late on this with only…15x? Lmao
