Repair/Body shops know the inflection price point that would knock it to total loss so they milk it right to the edge.

As a car enthusiast, I’d like to switch to a model 3 LR/P next year, leaving behind my beloved ICE cars. While pretty much convinced, even excited by “everything EVs” -and prepared to the sacrilegious sin of switching to nonEU car manufacturer! OMG! :p), my main/only concerns are due exactly to these astronomical repair costs.
I am used to drive luxury brands like BMWs and Mercs, therefore and I am not naive about expensive maintenance bills and body repairs. But Tesla plays in a different league
almost Ferrari levels!and it is unexpected and discouraging indeed!That car repair costs more than my friend’ s boyfriend’s apartment and furniture
