I would switch, but my family and friends all have iPhone plus I invested too much into apple when I was younger ie an ipad, iPhone, AirPods, Apple Watch, MacBook Pro, Apple TV. In other words once you’re in the apple ecosystem it’s difficult to get out. Whereas if you’re with android and try to switch to apple it’s a seamless process. At the end, I think they’re really good phones, and once again I’ll make this clear, once you go apple it’s hard to get out.
this might be a hot take but google has the best ecosystem because you can use any google feature on any device
What love for you to do an updated version of the Apple eco system
I really hate apple music. I use Spotify and I can't use Siri to start music or anything like that because Apple assumes that I want to use apple music, really annoying to have to do things "the apple way".
I used to be in the Samsung ecosystem. Phone, earbuds, watch. I switched to iPhone earlier this year. I have no regrets at all. The iPhone is more fun to use, has better aesthetics, and better overall products in my opinion. The ecosystem is a positive in my opinion.
I’ve looked over the walls. Not pretty.
Also you said about moving from Apple Music to Spotify. I tried using Apple Music and I hated it so much. I literally paid for one month, used it for the month, cancelled the subscription and straight away went back to spotify
I do use the whole ecosystem, excluding the HomePod, but I would be able to leave if needed, I just prefer using my iPhone because in my experience, the dynamic island, the pro motion display, and the speed is amazing. I just like iPhones implementation of certain features. But if I had to leave I could go back to windows and android
I have a Samsung galaxy phone and watch? absolutely a waste of money.
Honestly I stay with Apple because of the UI and layout. I’ve been using apple since first generation ipad mini, and I’ve never known any different than that.
It’s too late for me. 😅
Let's mention, stability! Good job on the video btw!
best tech reviews EVER. And tech reviews aren't even something I watch regularly, only when new phones or tech coming out or I'm getting a new phone and I need to see what its all about. You just make tech review videos fun to watch, to the point where i want to click on another because i'm hooked. Great job, I love the videos!!!!!
for me is not about the ecosystem, i barely have just the airpods (i can use them on windows, so sure, i don't really care…), it's about the software and the convenience man, you can find an iphone pretty much anywhere in my country, let's say i want to buy a xiaomi whatever whatever, they're harder to find and most of them are already used, i'd have to use facebook marketplace, iphone go any phone shop, you'll find the accesories and the phone itself.
Now that's minor because it's a one time inconvenience for the next 3-4 years of using the phone, i think what buys me the most is the software, is THAT good, everything works perfectly and even, everything is fast to the point that even when most iphones are 60hz they do feel faster than some 120hz mid range phones just because how the software works, face ID is also a factor, it's that good better than most phones on the market, fingerprint is kind of great but honestly, i like face ID better because you can use it even for passwords, to unlock apps by just looking the phone and not having to go out of your way to place your finger on the back or in the front of the phone, which just further IMPROVES the iOS experience.
How certain apps works, for most people in USA imessage is just that convenient and most people use it, even on third party apps like whatsapp messenger etc apple's UI is like, MILES ahead, you get the previews on whatsapp, the UI by itself is cleaner with usually better colors, damn even iOS twitter is somehow better because of the hold touch, safari is also insane and the hold touch also works evenly, even when it comes to youtube i like iOS UI better, then the fact that the gesture system works so even, there are android phones that sort of, try to mimic it, however at the end the 3 buttons on the bottom of the phone are better because the gesture system is just not as good as iOS and feels clunky (unless you have a high end phone in that case it's more on par), the fact that i can customize my lockscreen without whatever chinese ripoff that tries to mimic apple's function and gives issues, the fact that i can share with airdrop between some of my friends which helps A LOT because then i can save internet, or just somehow my LG TV is compatible with airplay and i can play whatever multimedia my phone has on my TV is also freaking huge i didn't knew about that, all this sums up.
Young marques
iMessage sucks
I’m I the only one who thinks that he just keeps repeating the same thing and never gets to the point???
iTunes was my introduction to the Apple Ecosystem. Naturally after Lime Wire showed me what a digital music library looked like. iTunes came along and allowed me to upload all the CD’s I bought over the years onto my HP Laptop without carrying around the CD’s on College Campus. And I did have a desktop iMac that’s probably in storage or something. But I didn’t use that until I got my first apartment in the city after college. Even then, by that time. The iPad mini had just came out and I used that more. But back to iTunes? The iPod is what did it for me. Imagine going to the studio recording a song. Upload it to iTunes and sync it to my iPod. Go to a club and perform it. The DJ likes it. You hand him your iPod and let him hear your other songs at random clubs around 2005 when BMF was at their height and Jeezy was everywhere and I still got a little buzz. Man. The iPod changed my life. I literally was about to get a 100 disc changer in my car, but bought a tape adapter to connect my iPod to my car. Which, fast forward, my next car in 2011 had an iPod connecter. It was all about the music for me. If it wasn’t for the iPod. I wouldn’t have an iPhone today. I wouldn’t have eventually got my first MacBook Pro in 2013, which my iMac was 2001/2002. Maybe earlier. All I know is even with an iMac. I still bought an HP Laptop because I always wanted one. And now. I only use my Dell for work. Personal life is iPad Pro, iPhone, HomePods, AirTags, Apple Pencil, Apple Watch, and I think that’s it. No plans to get the Vision Pro, but I’m not against it. I just don’t care for virtual nothing. I‘m not for the floating apps and wearing something on my face for extended periods of times. But! There’s people around me who want it in my household. So, we shall see if I end up with one by default. I doubt it. Might be cool to have on a flight across country though. Watch the new Marvel flick or something.
