Yoke steering wheel is not inconvenient, but we are used to the wheel-shaped steering wheel as we always used it in cars, so it feels like that. It is probably a matter of habituation in our brain.

However, in an unofficial ranking of all brands by reliability in 2021, Tesla was rated 30th out of 33 manufacturers for reliability by JD Power.
You would think these cars would be More Reliable. 2 of my friends got one and they are nice, fast and have a lot of nice upgrades however,
after 1 week, my female friend Plaid IS DEAD!!! My male friends car will not go into drive… just reverse. Such sharp looking cars…

This thing is not that impressive. I have driven it on road an track. Its slower then an M5 CS or a tuned RS6 and at least the road going Version handly like ok. But not European. Also: that Interieur, that steering wheel, cheap garbage. Tesla being Tesla. Selling low quality products via the hype and people Fall for it

I feel like the people at Tesla think like designers, engineers, and tech people, and don't think like the average person who drives. Some features just really SHOULDN'T be touch buttons. The muscle memory of buttons and nobs make it all that much easier to operate the car without taking your eyes off the road. Turn signals, wipers, the horn, and gear shifts should all ALWAYS be buttons or dials.

Hi Marques im just wonder what the Stereo and sound system is like? would u compare it to BMW's Harman Kardon or Mercedes Burmester sound also Audi's Bose . Whats it like?

Great video. Thank you for thinking out loud. This 58 yr old would have a hard time with no creature comfort buttons. The forward and reverse swipe hidden behind the wheel is a fail. I would love to drive it once, but not want to own it for a daily driver

  7. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Corus Mabulwana says:

With some improvements on the signaling and the display overlap, among other things, the yoke is here to stay, for practical reasons. I believe we get used to it, and more especially future drivers, we will have fewer accidents as a result of having to turn the steering wheel more than necessary, more especially at sharp curves.

electric cars SUCK. The factories in China where the batteries are made are a CHEMICAL WASTELAND. It's CHILD LABOUR in Africa that provides are the needed precious rare earth metals. The batteries keep losing capacity, after a number of years they need to be discarded, read: dumped in landfill. Electric cars are DEVESTATING FOR NATURE. Long live the internal combustion engine!!

I actually think stoping people from using the horn when someone gets in their way will force them to the the actual right thing wich is dodging, I've seen so many people using the horn instead of braking or turning and then just crashing when it was avoidable

  10. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Ryan Kennedy says:

Its like Tesla forgot why the wheel is a circle. Watching you do a few turns you constantly have only have one hand on the wheel or none at all, with a wheel even if you let go one hand has wheel sliding through it. Yikes.

This was done ages ago by Knight Industries Two Thousand. Heck, their car had superior features, it was Buller proof, it could jump over traffic and had a fully functional self driving AI. The latter could even talk to you and inevitably became a friend. Do better Tesla!

  12. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Savage AF says:

This will go down in history as one of the greatest cars ever created
The only real flaw is it literally tried to re-invent the wheel
A regular wheel should definitely be an option, but that's Elon
Just because you can do something doesn't mean you should. Nobody's perfect…🙄

Removing the steering wheel stalks, changing the horn removing the shifter, these weren't problems that needed to be fixed.

Most of those functions are not something you want to be fumbling around trying to get the touch sensor to work.

    Definitely non-starters for me.

  14. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Usman Khan says:

Whats interesting is that not the reaction of different passengers eCh time the car is launched, its marques reaction…the force on his face everytime he puts the foot down.
    Serious power under that motor

  15. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Seb H says:

Beautiful car, great video, that yoke and new shifter are absolute deal breakers for me. Epic fail by Musk for not allowing an option here. I don’t see this sticking.

  16. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Hola! as as says:

They should have made it so the buttons have to be activated with a quick double tap. This would eliminate activating them when you slide your hand across and any accidental single touches.

Can you do a second video addressing pros and cons of Tesla model S refresh. I think there are a lot of people like myself thinking of switching from BMW or other luxury cars to Tesla but realize the >100K Tesla will be a compromise. For example: Are the lights really that bad? The IIHS rates them a poor, and Tesla did not upgrade them? What is handling like? Is not having apple car play a big deal? Many cars give a birds eye view while parking, Tesla does not. What is the noise in the cabin while driving? What is the pedestrian warning system. Some test show a Tesla will run over someone and a subaru or BMW will stop.Anyway, just something to think about> Thanks
